Product Description
Atelo Ramirez works alongside his wife, Laura Arriaga, to produce exceptional batches at their palenque in Reyes Metzontla, situated in the Mixteca region of Puebla. Azul, or Blue Weber, is typically recognized as the source material for tequila producers. Atelo was able to procure this agave from the neighboring state of Morelos to distill a one-of-a-kind expression.

How It's Made
Atelo and Laura cook the agave in an underground oven and mash by hand using wooden hammers. After, the crushed agave was fermented for close to two weeks. After the mash is ready, they use a makeshift still fashioned from a galvanized steel barrel, a clay cazuela cap and a copper serpentine.
